Cheap Japanese Washi Tape - Shhhhhh

As you know a number of Borders stores are closing down have huge minimum 40% off sales. But did you know they sold washi tape! I may have gone a little overboard in my purchase but at these prices I couldn't resist

Car Track and Building Bookcases

(image via here)
Love the car track which continues from the small table top up the wall. And those buildings actually disguise Ikea Billy bookcases. For the full post including the how to head over to Livet Hemma

It's a bookshelf, it's a slide, it's a dinosaur... It's a Casaurus!

Loving this Casaurus (shelf / slide / dinosaur / anything you want it to be) that is doing the bloggy rounds at the moment. Created by Koichiro Hoshino for his senior thesis exhibition at Tokyo University of the Arts - I think every public library in australia should have one (and one for my house please!)

Icy Poles Anyone?

Wondering if i can use this Zoku Quick Pop Maker (apparently in as little as seven minutes right on your countertop without electricity!)

To make this (great idea for kids party):

If not - i can always make these with what i have

Then again - with the weather outside in Sydney at the moment - I really feel like one of these:
For the how to - head to Picky Palate

Ottoman - please give me a home (sydney)

It is with great regret that I have finally accepted our living situation no longer suits my most beloved ottoman. I used to joke that in the event my now husband and I ever broke up - I got the ottoman and he got the rest!
So rather than list it on ebay where someone will buy it for $1 just because it is going cheap - i am offering it you, my lovely readers, or even your friends and family. Cost free (unless of course you want to make a donation in kind!).
Now to the details. It measures 110cm (long) x 35 cm (high) x 47cm (width):  Has 4 castor wheels, is soft enough to sit on but not look sloppy, perfect height to put your feet on. Has two silver "trays" which swivel 360 degrees or come out if you want. The material is a black one (sorry i know nothing about materials), and other than a few spot marks (which would most likely come out with a tender pat down) it is in great condition. Beautiful as is, or super easy to make a slip cover for.

So - please give my lovely ottoman a new home. It is located on Sydney's north shore. If you are interested - please email me or post a comment - first in best dressed.

My Creative Space - Old Tool Kits

This week finds me re-purposing some old tool kits I picked up at a garage sale last weekend. Will post all the details once I have finished
In other exciting news this morning i am going to enrol in a "learn how to use your sewing machine class" in late May - so expect some sewing goodness to come!
For more Creative Spaces head over to kootoyoo and why not play along!

They are only £3.75 each and I am seriously considering #1, #3, #5 and #12 (and maybe #16 while I am at it!)

Blog Lovin: Sweet Style by Mrs A in the Cove - Seriously People!

It's been a while since i have done a Blog Lovin post.....
Do you follow Sweet Style by Mrs A in the Cove's blog - if not YOU SHOULD! Leanne styles the most amazing parties and specialises in dessert and candy buffet styling. Her photos are amazing and so full of inspiration and ideas. I mean seriously!

(Cake in the last photo by Jacki from Blissfully Sweet Cakes)

And do you spy those gorgeous personalised gelato spoons in the second last photo - Leanne is now taking orders for these custom stamps- check out all the details here

Beautiful displays and styling aside though, what i love most is how down to earth Leanne is (and this is not to butter her up because she is coming to morning tea at my place next week!) - she is a wife, mum and loves what she does.

Be sure to check her out on her blog, facebook and twitter

Thanks for making me blog happy Leanne.
