I’m so excited….

What a lovely way to end the year – on a high note. Today I had the pleasure of having my products featured on Steph Bond’s blog – Bondville! I am just a little excited!
I am a huge fan of Steph’s Blog (even before she featured my work) as she finds the most gorgeous products for mums, kids and homes. This last month Steph has been running a wonderful series of posts on “Australian Christmas 2010” and has been featuring many a beautiful product including Blossum Creations, PaperKlip Design and Polli (where I was lucky enough to win a beautiful Christmas wreath). I highly recommend you check out Steph’s Blog.

ALSO – the every sweet Janette from My Sweet Prints showed off some of my Christmas Gift Tags in her blog post today! Seriously how lucky am i!

One last time for those that may have missed it – lots of tags, cards, Peg It Ups and chalkboard tags in store + 10% off my etsy store until 20 Dec 2010 (coupon code MERRYCHRISTMAS) and free delivery Australia wide!

We're all going on a Summer Holiday

So it is that time of year when things are winding down and I am dreaming of spending some time in the pool, lazy afternoon naps and big sleep ins (not going to happen with a one year old on my heels but I can dream).
We are lucky enough to be spending time away with the family over Christmas where I will not have ready access to the internet – which is a good thing I think. This does mean however that I will be on a blog hiatus and will be shutting down my etsy and made it stores from 20th December – 3rd January. There is however still heaps of Peg it Ups, Cards, Gift Tags and new Chalkboard Gift Tags in store should you need some last minute stocking fillers or cards. And as a special thank you to all my lovely blog readers – use coupon code “MERRYCHRISTMAS” in my etsy store until midnight 19 December 2010 to receive 10% off (plus free shipping still applies Australia wide).
Big Thank you to all for joining me on my blog this year and I look forward to sharing lots of lovely finds and new projects with you next year.
Merry Christmas and Happy and Safe Silly Season

Further Fuel to the Fire - Gnomeangle

Next up on the ‘adding fuel to the fire’ was Gnomeangel’s lovely Christmas Card I received late last week.

Angie (the woman behind Gnomeangel) describes her blog as “one woman’s rambling collection of interests, half arsed projects and tales of misadventure. It’s a blog dedicated to showcasing the extraordinary from the life of someone ordinary. Here you’ll find shiny things, things that make you laugh, things that make you want to dance and things that make you go “say what?.”
Angie is also a very dedicated tweeter and facebooker. I have only recently started following Angie – but her selection of images and quirky finds are instantly addictive.
Thank you Angie for making me card post happy

Chantal Vincent Art

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to win some gift tags made by Chantal Vincent Art (I entered a competition where you had to provide suggestions for Christmas themed stamps).
Chantal creates and sells beautiful stamps, lino prints and cards on etsy. The stamps are fun, creative and inspiring and I must admit I have asked Chantal’s advice on stamp making and lino printing on more than one occasion and she has been very generous with her knowledge.
Make sure you check out her store – she has some beautiful Christmas cards in stock and her stamps are perfect for all occasions.

Chantal can be found on her blog, etsy, facebook and twitter

Awww – the Animal Print Shop

One look at the Animal Print Shop and I guarantee you will be saying Awwww within 3 seconds.
Whilst Sharon Montrose’s photos of animals are super super cute – they have that styled look about them which make them perfect for any interior from the super stylish modern living room to the super cool (but not necessarily cutesy) kids room.

Sharon originally began selling the photographs as large limited edition prints back in early 2008, however after overwhelming requests, and lucky for us, she now offers small, more affordable open edition prints at only $25US each. And better yet for 1 more day (sorry about the late notice) – buy 3 get 4th free – check out the website for more awwww worthy photos and offer details!
My Favourite – the donkey of course!
(PS – thanks @swissmiss for the heads up)

Fuel to the Fire - Creative Collection Card Swap

To further fuel my stationery card addiction I am taking part in the Creative Collection card swap this year. You make (or buy handmade) 5 Christmas cards and then send them to your five allocated people. I popped my cards in the post today - no photos as it was very late when I finished them – however hopefully my receivers will post about them and I will link back to them.
But – more importantly – I received my first card yesterday from the lovely Laura of the even lovelier Moags and Smeet. Laura makes and sells beautiful jewellery on line, and blogs in her spare time, and as she is a self-admitted non-paper crafter she purchased her cards from City Kitten Designs on Etsy. The card is beautifully made – and brought a smile to my face – so thank you Laura for making me card post happy!

I will be checking my mail box eagerly each afternoon awaiting my remaining 4 cards – be sure to pop back in to check out what other beauties I receive.
In the meantime – are you posting any Christmas Cards this year – why not take a photo and share them on my face book page.

Quick one from me today as a little under the gun… You know I can’t go past a good letterpress – so when I received an email last night from one of my favourite’s – Bespoke – I just had to share  – and better yet they are offering free shipping before December 15 (sorry Australia only).
Letterpress Friendship print - coral & grey - would make a great present for a best friend

My Christmas Tree

Thanks to the very timely post from Steph at Bondville on Christmas Wall Decoration Decals – I finally got my act together last week and chose a Christmas tree wall decal design and ordered it on line. I chose this Bosco Bear design
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at the size of it. It was super (if not slightly time consuming) easy to put up – and I believe it is the ultimate solution for small toddler / Christmas tree clash crisis’s
Here’s the final result at our place. I just need to strategically place my little man in a santa hat in front of it and then it would just like the store picture!

How are you decorating your house this year? Have you come up with any child friendly solutions too?

My Creative Space

This week my creative space consisted of completing a couple of orders (yeah!) for Sarah Allen Consulting and a New York Client, who ordered some of the White Apple Trees to use as her Christmas Cards. Sarah commissioned me to make her corporate Christmas Cards, including a logo stamp, and also some custom packs of Peg it Ups for her Creative Clients to pin up their creative (social media) ideas. I also started work on my Christmas tree last night and I have included an honesty shot of what my creative space actually looked like this week!
What did you get up to this week? Check out some more over at Kootoyoo's blog
