Apologies my bloggy friends

(image via tinywhitedaisies)
Just wanted to drop in and let you all know i am still alive and kicking. I came down with an evil evil virus a couple of weeks ago now, and i am only just starting to feel like myself again (the stomach bug passed on by my son on the weekend didn't help matters!).
So I apologies for my lack of blogging, and also lack of visiting others people's blogs (I am to scared to look at my blog lovin account!). I am going to take the rest of the week off from blogging to totally get better and then fingers crossed, I will back with more lovelies, DIY's, and great finds to share with you next week.

In the meantime - just had to share this great this idea to stop ice-cream drips - so simply and you could match the cupcake holders to your party styling!

Old School Fun Activiries

Do you remember these "Paint with Water" books from when you were younger?
Or what about these Magic Slates?

I am loving re-discovering all these old school activities now that I have a legitimate reason to play with them again ie. my son

What old school fun activities do you remember from when you were younger?

My Creative Space

This week - I actually found some time to be creative

I made a trial version of some baby shoes. Not 100% perfect but as a first attempt i was quite proud! (and yes that is old school 90210 on the DVD player)

Started a new project for the play room - no turning back now.

My son gets creative in the shower. He loves to paint on the fogged up glass - he thinks he has to dip the brush in the little container which he fills with water - it is super cute to watch.

Kikki K - Bags

I should know better than to go into a Kikki-K store for "window shopping"!
Some great bags which caught my eye (and are now on my mothers day list):

And a new one I just spied on line which was released on the 27 April 2011 in selected stores and online

One of each please......

Two Little Princes - and Princesses too!

I am a huge fan of recycling kids clothes and it would be safe to say over 90% of my son's wardrobe is second hand, whether it be from the excellent Baby and Kid's Markets or from family and friends - so i was a little excited when i came across Two Little Princes in my internet wandering last night. This site is great for those who don't have access to the markets in major cities, those who prefer shopping from the comfort of their home, or those who don't want to spend (or can't afford) to spend hundreds on their kids clothes, particularly when they are young and they grow so fast.
And better yet - there is 30% off store wide until Mothers day!
Some goodies I came across in my search:

Size 1 Fred Bare Jeans $15

Size 1 Osh Kosh boat shoes $12.50

Size 0 - Pumpkin Patch - warm winter hoodie $7.50

Size 7 - Huski - "Explorer" - suitable for ski wear $35

So far it is mainly clothing and accessories on the site - but they are expanding soon to include toys, at home, mums and dad's products. New stock added weekly so check back often. Support this great website created by a mum who moved to rural NSW and just wanted to buy some afforable and responsible clothes for her kids

Chalkboard Place Settings

Sorry - this post is a little bit self promotion -  but when i saw this image on Pinterest (first pinned by Irashabriz Shabriz) I thought it was a pretty cool idea.

As seen in the latest (and greatest) Paper Runway Issue 1 ("are you feeling blue" page 20) packs of 4 chalkboard gift tags, in blue, black or pink are available in my etsy and made it store.
